I’m currently taking methylphenidate hydrochloride, known by brand names like Concerta, Ritalin, Xaggitin, and Xenidate. I used to take 54mg of the prolonged-release version and felt fine throughout the day, with no tiredness by the end. However, I was temporarily switched to 27mg and 18mg (same medication) due to increased blood pressure. Ever since the switch, I’ve been feeling tired around 10 PM. For context, I wake up at 5 AM every day.
Additionally, I’ve been struggling to get my medication. Some days, I can’t function because I’m exhausted, especially when I can’t take the medication at all. On those days, I get so tired that my eyes close, and I zone out, no matter what I’m doing. I’ve been trying to contact my doctor in the UK, but he says there’s a nationwide shortage. When I was on the 54mg dose, I never had this issue. Has anyone else experienced this?
