I have ADHD and I own a kindle e-reader which is a fantastic device. I used to read on there but I noticed that my desire to re-read e-books is non-existent and my tendency to read in general is much lower than with physical books.
Seeing a physical book (and the cover) urges to me to take it my hands and start reading. I will read faster and for a much longer time. I might make a few notes.
The ability to turn pages back and forth quickly and whenever I want is very helpful.
I'm baffled how these little differences are decisive in whether I pick up a book or not. There are a lot of great books on topics such as ADHD but that I haven't read because I didn't have a physical copy of them
