Hi, so long story short I've been medicated for a bit now (methylphenidate) and I've found myself chain smoking and drinking way too much energy drinks and coffee, giving me the jitters, anxiety and whatever else.
I'm sure my body won't take this kinda abuse much longer and I'm aware I need to change my habits especially now on medication. Cutting down on caffeine should be doable but the tobacco is an absolute bitch.

Last winter when I last tried to quit I got so depressed and anxious for several months I was prescribed an SSRI that I'm still on. So maybe I'll be spared of that this attempt.
Could anyone who has successfully quit smoking on medication share some experiences? Did you have to stop the medication while you stopped to smoke? Or did it help you? I also struggled with a lot of brain fog and wasn't able to concentrate at all for weeks, I figure that should be better on medication. But the emotional component..
