I’ve been off Ritalin for like two months thanks to my own lack of follow through, and after missing a refill last month finally got it refilled a couple days ago. Wow! I thought I was functional without meds. I didn’t realize how dysfunctional I actually was off meds until getting them back on board and doing the equivalent in one afternoon of what would’ve taken me most of a week to do before. Seriously, meds kick all the ass!
In other news: for anyone with comorbid depression, do your ADHD meds seem to boost the effectiveness of the antidepressant? I’m on Lexapro, and I swear the Ritalin boosts its effectiveness. I was in a depressive slump most of this week after having Covid last week, and it’s lifted after getting the Ritalin on board. A solid two notch jump
