Post Body

I'm meeting with a new doctor soon who will prescribe me Ritalin. I live in Italy where there are only two options: Ritalin and Wellbutrin. If those don't work out, I'm SOL. I have a lot riding on this, since Wellbutrin didn't work out, and I want to show up prepared with my questions.

Anything you wish you had asked your doctor before starting stimulants?

My biggest concern is coffee and fasting. I don't eat for the first 5-6 hours of my day. Just coffee. I'm worried Ritalin on an empty stomach might cause problems.

Also, the last time I tried to quit caffeine the withdrawal was so bad that after a month I had to give it up. Some people say caffeine Ritalin is too much and they have to give up coffee. But I'm worried I will suffer through the withdrawal even if the Ritalin is has a similar effect as coffee. Anyone give up coffee for stimulants and then had effects of caffeine withdrawal?
