Obviously I have ADHD. I’m 23 and I can’t drive. Yes I can get behind the wheel and drive down a road, maybe even a road with some light traffic for a good 20mins. But that’s if nothing happens. My anxiety doesn’t allow me to properly drive the speed limit, so I go 10 below or more and people pass me. Tunnel vision is so hard to get past and remember that there’s a million things to pay attention to while driving. I have terrible spacial awareness so making turns is a nightmare for everyone involved and that’s actually how I failed my drivers test twice. My father also has ADHD and has crashed every car he’s ever been in (about 5). For him it’s poor sense of direction and tunnel vision.
Does anyone else have this problem? If you did, how did you overcome it? I’m afraid I’ll never be able to drive, at least not without causing accidents.
