Here's an example.
My cleaning routine is chaos. Typically the plan is if I have to declutter I'll start taking things of surfaces to put in a box so that I can wipe the surfaces and then put everything back where it should be or move it to a better spot I like more.
Of course, it's never that simple. I'll start taking things off a shelf or table but then find something that I would like in a better spot. Then, at some point, I'm bound to get distracted for 10 - 20 minutes finding something I haven't seen or used in a while. Then maybe continue at another shelf because I lost my flow from before I got distracted.
And my cell phone! If my phone isn't muted and in another room you can guess what happens. I get a text or a notification and get distracted for another 10 minutes.
Sometimes, muting my phone doesn't even work if I think of something random and mundane like "Who was the first person to drink a cows milk?" and end up having to Google it, distracting myself for another few minutes.
At this point, if I have a bucket of cleaning solution, the water probably doesn't need to be changed yet, but the water is not nearly as hot as it was before.
This post is very random, but I just finished a couple hours of cleaning that could've been done in probably like 30 minutes, and this is just glossing over how chaotic this can get. 🤣
Can anyone else relate? 🤣
