I can’t date because I keep fixating on what I don’t have?

I dated this girl. I like her a lot.
We got into a relationship. I suddenly didn’t like her as much anymore. Conflicted.
I met up with a longtime female friend. I realise I feel strongly for her.
I figure I’ve found out what I really want in love. I break up.
Now single, I don’t really feel much for the female friend. Seeing value in the old relationship again.
What the hell is this 😭 Is this just me fixating on what I can’t have?? This just makes me a terrible person!!!!
