Got prescribed Methylphenidate (Medikinet) and don't feel anything after a week.

I've been diagnosed recently at 30 and got prescribed Medikinet 20mg (a Methylphenidate-based drug in Austria). I've taken it for a week now - half a pill 2x a day at breakfast and lunch as my psychiatrist said -, but I don't really feel changes... is that that normal? Is it because of the food I've taken it with, or because I didn't take it at the exact same time of the day..? Or does it take time?
