How do you deal with overbearing stims that are physically hard to deal with?

Post Body

I'm going through a ton of chewing gum at the moment. Whenever I have strong emotions like excitement, anger, stress, fear but most of all hyperactivity, I click my jaw so much like 30 times a minute compulsively. I don't even know I'm doing it. Also, I sort of move my jaw sideways and push my back teeth into my cheek until it hurts. I've been doing this so long inside of my cheek has developed scar tissue, and sometimes reopens. Often times I wake up and my jaw really hurts if I have had an especially emotional day the previous day.

I've took to chewing gum obsessively, I buy those big bottles with the flip cap. But the thing is, is that it's working as a laxative now because I am eating so much fucking aspartame and phenylalanine. It's pissing me fucking off.

Another thing is, I feel the need to constantly close my eyes really hard or put pressure on them with my hands to feel a release.

Anyone else can share experiences or tips?
