So, I've got BD 1 & ADHD and I'm medicated for my bipolar & I've tried stimulants and they worked phenomenally to improve my ability to start & complete tasks, both simple & complex, but they gave me severe heart palpitations & hand tremors even at the low starting doses (for example, 5-10mg of Ritalin & 18-27mg of Concerta XL), so my dr advised me to stop & my only option now is Strattera, which I'm not keen to try based on a large population of people that have tried it whose experiences I heard on YT, with the biggest problems being sedation & emotional blunting.
I've already experienced emotional blunting on Concerta & I hated it because I was unable to socialise comfortably and constantly had to force enthusiasm & emotions or interest which felt too fake & it got me depressed, even though it was working to help me be more productive.
Also, I was only on Concerta for two weeks, which was the testing/trial period & I keep telling myself that maybe those side effects will fade, but what if they don't? I'm going to see my dr tomorrow to discuss all this and seek professional advisory, but I just wanted y'alls experiences with Concerta & Strattera. 🙏🏽
