Context
On average, the waiting time to receive an appointment for an ADHD assessment is between 1 to 2 years. In terms of a child's academic and social development, this is a significant amount of time to go without the resources that they may need to be successful.
The Question
Assuming that the only barrier preventing a specific child from receiving a diagnosis is the waiting time
What role do educators (teachers, educational support staff, principals) play in supporting students through the "middle ground" while waiting for an formal assessment?
