Adderall has been great so far—it’s had a profound impact on my work life in particular, but other aspects of my life are also improved. Not perfect, but better.
BUT—I’m having trouble with anger issues that I imagine are tied to anxiety and/or depression that is now in focus with Adderall. They’re not new feelings per se, but it’s like someone took the things that bothered me and turned up the volume. I’m shorter with my spouse and coworkers, and concerned I may ruin some relationships.
If you felt this way when starting meds, did you find that adding another medication or completely switching stimulants helped at all? I suffer from an autoimmune that makes me sleepy no matter what I do, and Adderall was helping address that issue along with the ADHD. So, I’m a bit nervous my doc may want to move to a non-stimulant.
I’d love to hear your experiences!
