I've had this a few times in my life and I'm wondering if it's maybe connected with my ADHD.
What I mean by "itchy skin" is a terrible feeling of your whole skin all over your body just getting itchy all of a sudden. For literally NO REASON and no scratching will help at all. It just feels like ants crawling all over you or something similar... it's horrible! Because it's so overstimulating and overwhelming and nothing helps. The only thing I've found to help is taking a cold-ish shower using a wash cloth. As if the leveled out body temperature in combination with "rubbing" every inch of your skin once actually calms the brain down again.
Does anyone else get this? Could this be some kind of ADHD nervous system fatal error? 😂 Or a kind of overstimulation reaction?
