So I see a lot of people talk about hyper fixation in the sense of focusing too much on a hobby, but what about anxiety inducing ones? For example, I can be at work and then suddenly I remember I have to schedule some kind of doctors appointment. Well, I can't do it right then so I will fixate on it until I can. Like I'll make myself anxiously obsess over it so I don't forget to do that. And sometimes even after I schedule the appointment I'll start fixating on how that appointment might go, what questions I need to ask, what I need to do depending on how it goes, etc. it's very debilitating and it affects my work. Is there a way to manage this so that I can focus on my work instead of something I can't do for several hours or potentially several days?
