I think listening to too many YouTube videos and people talking has ruined my ability to focus.

Post Body

I am googling it now, but I can’t seem to find an answer because there’s tons of “podcasts are good for your brain!” articles and posts everywhere. But I realized that because I consume so much YouTube, I end up accidentally zoning out and getting distracted when I hear talking. I cannot watch videos for school anymore because I listen to so many videos throughout the day. I am feel like the constant stimulation with words is ruining my ability to even watch videos I find important or useful. So many YouTubers have hours of my watch time because it’s turned into background noise. It’s just endless hours of people’s voices from YouTube at this point. But the stimulation feels needed but once I get it, it becomes background noise. Even if it’s important. I can’t even watch a video for microbiology without it becoming background noise.
