I don’t really want take guanfacine

I was prescribed guanfacine XR about a month ago and should start taking it soon for school although I’m not really comfortable with trying it as I don’t like “stays in your system” type medications, I have a vyvanse prescription btw, although if I just say I don’t want to take it my parents will start complaining to me and get angry. What exactly should I do? (Btw I don’t exactly have adhd but show signs of it and I was prescribed it for anger)
