Hi, I’m beginning to realize that I have ADHD and it explains so many things, but it sucks that it didn’t come to light sooner. I have wondered myself over the years, but anytime I asked I would get brushed off. Now, I am 90% certain this is what I have, combined ADHD to be exact, and it is definitely effecting my life in a negative way. I have adopted almost all the suggested strategies for dealing with the symptoms, hence why I’ve lasted this long, so I feel like medication is the only other tool I’m missing. I need to first obtain an official diagnosis though so I can pursue this treatment plan further. I could benefit from some therapy, but right now adopting a good medication is all I can afford so I’m hoping to get a recommendation for a Psychiatrist in the Salt Lake County area who understands how it presents in women specifically and is just genuinely kind, I’m tired of judgmental Doctors so if they aren’t nice to you then don’t bother. I have insurance from my husband so I can afford most office visits and prescriptions as long as they are in network and covered. Thank you for any and all suggestions! 💗
