So back in the day, back in my 20s… I was trying to find out what was wrong with me and I always felt like it was more than “just” ADHD and anxiety. I had one of the specialists I saw out of town tell me that I still have the Moro reflex as an adult. When I brought this up to ANYONE, I’d get looked at like I have 3 eyes or even laughed at. So I stored it away and pretended I never received that diagnosis. Now, this came up in my memory recently and the lot of you here seem like you’d be open to an intelligent discussion. Has anyone else here received this diagnosis or suspect they may have it?
I am a 34 female. Medicated for ADHD. Been through all the therapy and counseling. All the doctors visits and bloodwork. And every single thing that comes up when you simply google “adult with Moro reflex”…. Ding ding ding! That’s me! My top two overwhelming issues are my startle reflex and the constant need for real sugar. My startle reflex was usually blamed on my anxiety or my medication. My sugar cravings have always been blamed on my hypoglycemia.
