So I think I realized I have a hard time with food partially because of how most of our food is stored in my house. My mom likes to freeze everything because it keeps longer, which is a motive I can understand. The problem though is Iāve realized in order for me to eat, I need food to be either readily available, require low prep time, or low effort to make, Otherwise I lose interest and just donāt eat. With everything being frozen, it takes a long time for it to thaw, and by the time it would have thawed, Iād have lost interest in eating. My mom says āJust plan ahead and take out food before you think youāre gonna eatā but how am I supposed to know when and if Iām going to be hungry?
Iām wondering if this aversion to frozen food is normal? Is thereās anything I can do to either steer my mom towards not freezing everything, or convince her itās a mental thing not a behavioural thing? Or is it actually a behavioural thing and I need to change my habits?
