So I think I realized I have a hard time with food partially because of how most of our food is stored in my house. My mom likes to freeze everything because it keeps longer, which is a motive I can understand. The problem though is Iā€™ve realized in order for me to eat, I need food to be either readily available, require low prep time, or low effort to make, Otherwise I lose interest and just donā€™t eat. With everything being frozen, it takes a long time for it to thaw, and by the time it would have thawed, Iā€™d have lost interest in eating. My mom says ā€œJust plan ahead and take out food before you think youā€™re gonna eatā€ but how am I supposed to know when and if Iā€™m going to be hungry?

Iā€™m wondering if this aversion to frozen food is normal? Is thereā€™s anything I can do to either steer my mom towards not freezing everything, or convince her itā€™s a mental thing not a behavioural thing? Or is it actually a behavioural thing and I need to change my habits?
