So I've been wanting to go and see a therapist about the possibility of having ADHD. My main problem is I just cannot seem to get it together enough to get myself on the phone to schedule an appointment let alone go to one. Is it possible to manage symptoms without a proper diagnosis or medication? I was diagnosed bipolar when I was 15 and never felt that it was accurate. I've been on meds, like antidepressants and mood stabilizers and such and nothing really seems to work. How do I make myself do this? Also, I have had substance abuse issues, and Im afraid that if I tell them that, everything I say will be taken as drug seeking behavior. I just wanna do better in life. I've been unemployed since 2022 because I have never been able to hold a steady job. Thanks in advance and thanks for listening to me rant.
