How do I manage ADHD without meds?

I can't get a diagnosis in my country and I can only obtain meds illegally.
I do that sometimes, but other times I'm left without any meds for a while.
Is there anyone in the same situation? How do you manage your symptoms?
Any suggestion is welcome.
I'm looking to move to a different country in the near future where I will have access to my meds, but to get there I need to be... functional.
