Hi everyone.
I am not employed for the time being, so for all intents and purposes, you can think of this as a holiday. Whenever I think of those, I imagine people having fun on the beach or going to museums and stuff together, however, for me, it's almost unbearable to be on proper vacation by myself.
I struggle a lot with boredom when I don't have much to do. I have been diagnosed with ADHD and have not started any pharma treatment since there aren't any psychiatrists around (holiday season their schedules are packed. My psychologist is on holiday too though I saw her today. I've come to the conclusion that this is a disorder I very much misunderstood and misinterpreted at first, and there'd be a lot to unpack but we can leave that aside for now.
I just want to know how you manage the sheer boredom of 2 months' worth of vacation unmedicated, or how you used to. Whenever I go outside, I'm blasted by 110F/40C humid temperatures and shoved in UV light which make taking a stroll torture. On the other hand, when I'm inside I'm constantly tormented by boredom. Jumping from one thought to another, not realizing how much time has passed, delaying deadlines...
P.S. I am not asking for any drug, legal or illegal, just maybe some daily tips that made you feel better before you were put on a prescription taking the aforementioned into account.
