Post Body

I have an 8yo son whose textbook ADHD while I am the furthest thing from it. I’m sure this won’t be the last time I post here trying to understand him.

Most of the time he seems like your average energetic happy kid. Naturally he has some issues with emotional regulation which we’re constantly working on but overall he’s almost always smiling. I also think he’s having a pretty awesome childhood if I do say so.

Yet there have been times where he’s mentioned not feeling happy. He’s said that things don’t excite him or he’s worried he doesn’t know how to be happy. Does anyone feel this too? Can you explain it to me? Or is this unrelated to ADHD?
