Hi all,
I do want to preface by saying I was recently diagnosed as bipolar, and not currently on mood stabilizers or antidepressants.
I’ve used vyvanse in the past but I kept having issues with the my insurance and Walgreens that I spent some time unmedicated.
My psychiatrist decided to try something new and we landed on Methylphenidate CD 10mg. I take it around 5am on an empty stomach and then sleep for an extra hour. It gets me out of bed and I’m usually in a good mood for approximately 2 hours before I crash. Then comes the irritability, fatigue and migraines. I become extremely unfocused, and am unable to concentrate on anything no matter how hard I try. I feel like I am being pulled in a million different directions.
Should I be having this rx with food? Should I just stop taking it? I never had these side effects with vyvanse and I was on a high dose. I have contacted my psychiatrist but she said these are common side effects, and I’m not meeting with her until next week.
