I have a BA in psychology but there aren't many (any) jobs you can get with just that that I'm actually interested in.
Until recently I was a game tester (amazing, I know) and I LOVED it, but there was a huge layoff. Now I feel like I should consider a complete career change.
I really struggled in college because of pretty severe demand avoidance. And some executive dysfunction. I'm actually pretty bright academically, and I focus easily if I'm interested in the material. But if the demand avoidance kicks in, it's bad. I wasn't diagnosed the first time around... It took me 6 years and a lot of pain to graduate.
I'm wondering, what does it take to get disability assistance for someone with ADHD? And what kind of assistance might I get that would actually help?
PS I'm in the USA
