Is this a problematic thought process on my medication?

Post Body

Hello!

Iā€™m 23, recently diagnosed, started medication a little over 4 months ago now.

I started with 10 mg of vyvanse for a month, then increased to 20 mg for a month, now Iā€™ve been on 30 mg for a little over 2 months.

The problem is, I have a heavily additive personality. ā€˜Casualā€™ isnā€™t really in my vocabulary.

Iā€™m really worried Iā€™m going to end up hooked on them, I canā€™t really get away with not taking them every day because Iā€™m a student and I work full time hours outside of my studies so I donā€™t really have the means to take it easy and not be able to focus well for a day or two. Also, Iā€™m just super nervous to see how I feel without them.

Iā€™ve been finding myself waking up sometimes really tired or feeling shitty/anxious whatever and my first thoughts are ā€œitā€™ll be fine when I take my medsā€.

I guess Iā€™m just wondering if this is normal, or if itā€™s sort of a red flag pointing towards a dependence beginning?
