People who were diagnosed with ADHD as kids do you feel that your parents weren't properly suited to care for you in hindsight?

Post Body

I have been helping my parents raise my nephew and he was recently diagnosed with ADHD and Im starting to think we aren't properly prepared to raise him without medication. Which my parents don't want to put him on but in these past couple of weeks his outburst have gotten more and more frequent and we find ourselves less and less patient. So I guess my question is all things considered for those who were diagnosed with this as a child what do you think your parents or guardians probably should have done to assist them in your upbringing ?
