I'm getting *more* spending-impulsive on meds??

Post Body

Hi y'all!

Just a quick thought: Whenever I'm unmedicated I tend to overthink anything and everything - which makes sense. Now, that has commonly made me avoid spending money on things I don't need.

As I've gotten used to my medication (vyvanse), one effect is has is a renewed confidence. I don't need to overthink everything because I can do it - the lift of that mental block in productivity is of course one of the main benefits.

But that's also led me to be less careful with where I spend my money. I might buy a game here, get more expensive groceries there, or decide that a $3k trip to LA and Vegas is well within my rights to splurge on.

I might've expected the meds to keep me more collected in this sense (I'll add that this observation is mostly bound to monetary spending, so far)

What are your experiences with your medication, in terms of impulsivity?
