Is Vyvanse worth the price tag?

I currently take 15mg Adderall (IR) 2x a day. While it does what it is supposed to I notice that it makes me more irritable when I am trying to focus on something and I get interrupted. My former boss said he had the same issue with Adderall and that it the irritability went away after swapping to Vyvanse.

Has anyone had a similar experience, or what is your experience with Vyvanse in general? The only thing from stopping me from switching is having to hit my deductible for my insurance, meaning I will have to pay out of pocket for at least the first month ($310)
