Anyone use a task manager, and ‘Things’ specifically?

Post Body

I have Things task manager. I’ve had it for years, but after the initial enthusiasm the use of it wore off.

I really like it a lot as visibly it’s perfect for me and has the right amount of flexibility without being overly complicated.

However, I still struggle to use a task manager to help me day to day.

I struggle massively with organisation, prioritisation, time management and procrastination. And plenty of distraction! 🥲

I am self employed with a small business (just me) and my struggles really impact this and my finances (currently it’s quite desperate). I’m also studying to be a counsellor/therapist and I live alone with a child that I have 50% of time, so responsible for all of the household stuff too (often live in a mess which stresses me out as I hate it).

I am a master at making lists. Ridiculous un-acheivable lists, which add further negative self-talk because I rarely get through 20% (a guess, but it’s not much).

I also set a lot of reminders but then simply ignore them!!

So, long winded way of asking for tips to task manage and break things down into achievable goals, prioritise and not overload (I.e. overwhelm) myself.

Thank you.
