So my PCP put me on the subject medicine after I told him of my troubles focusing at work and some other symptoms that could be ADHD but may be something else . He said I have to get testing done within a few months to continue to get medicine.
I ended up paying for the medicine out of pocket. Very stupid. I should have just had him change the medicine to Focalin generic, which was covered. First mistake.
To the important part: I took it at about 10am with coffee (2nd mistake I think). Have an elevated heart rate, pain in my neck area, a little tingly in the back of the head. Not feeling great really. I'll give it another try tomorrow (why not, paid almost 9 bucks a pill). I'll take it first thing in the morning and reduce my caffeine intake in the morning. 27 mg was based on my height and weight, but I may need less. Doc actually said to take 2 after a weak , if I feel like it's not doing anything.
Oh it's doing something. Feel more hyper and jittery.
Has anyone taken Focalin? Any thoughts on Focalin or Focalin vs Concerta and mg levels?
Thanks you!!
