Post Body

Hey all 👋

31m diagnosed when I was 15 , not medicated but I'm well aware of all my symptoms.

My question to you all; with a background first:

So I had this jkb where I was a leading hand (level below foreman, level above general worker), and I was in charge of around 15 employees who worked under me. I'm the type that doesn't get things wrong (shocking, I know), can work well under pressure and is amazing at pronlem solving.

I got fired for not following a safety protocol (it's was stupid, they didn't have the correct safety things available, but nonetheless I still done if "unsafe" eyeroll). I got a payout (a hefty sum) and decided to go back to my home country for a bit as sister was getting married etc etc.

I'm now (basically), getting asked to come back as the manager got fired and the supervisor has resigned (those two pushed to fire me).

I'm now in a position to have my old job back and I want the new supervisor (provided I actually take the job) to be fully aware that I have ADHD. I say this because I told the last one this and he basically dismissed it, raising issues at work.

To summarise my ADHD: I have insomnia (late to getting to work) I'm generally assertive in conversations I'm never wrong with the facts regarding work I'm extremely particular with work tasks I work on a fair basis (you do x you get x) I have a problem with authority especially when they're wrong Pointless conversations are, well, pointless

There's a whole heap more that I'm sure we're all well aware of, however I'm more so looking for advice on how to bring up my concerns with the new supervisor, so that they're aware of what works best for me, and what doesn't. So that they're accommodating. I'll also be taking it up with HR as there's a new HR person there who isn't aware of my ADHD.

Many thanks!

Tl;dr I got fired for doing stupid things and now they want me back, supervisor and manager have left and fired (respectfully). How do I go about making the new supervisor aware of my ADHD and be more understanding of how I work.
