My therapist thinks I have some level of adhd and I kind of always thought my symptoms matched it. I don't have an official evaluation/diagnosis yet, but I want to check out some resources because I think it's likely they'd help me.
I struggle a lot with maintaining motivation and discipline when it comes to art (and other projects in general) and not burning out. I was wondering if there were any books that have helped other fellow ADHD'ers that struggled with their art because of it?
Other symptoms I'd hope to address include (listed to guide your recommendations):
- impulsivity
- struggling with structure and routine
- hyperfixation / hyperfocus
- being unable to detach from the constant stream of thoughts
- being disconnected from the present and constantly thinking of the end goal (albeit subconsciously), and hence being unable to enjoy art and burning out
Please recommend me some books that you think can help me with my set of problems.
