Tw: eating, food Anyone else in here experience digestive problems? I'm a 20yr old with undiagnosed ADHD but diagnosed IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), I didn't get diagnosed with IBS until I was like 16, when I was pretty stressed with school and was having a hard time with food. What I mean by that is almost everything I ate gave me a lot of gas and sometimes a stomach ache, chocolate and sugary items especially!! Fast forward to now aged 20, a couple months ago milk was not agreeing with me. I figured out that too much milk was the problem.
So how does this relate back to ADHD? Well bare in mind a lot of my safe foods/comfort foods are junk food, especially instant noodles! It's common for people with ADHD to enjoy junk food or just food in general because it gives us dopamine. I don't just eat junk food though! I really like bell peppers, carrots, cabbage, apples etc. Pretty much any food. I do unfortunately have my days where I just don't want to eat anything because my IBS is acting up so bad or I just simply do not feel hungry.
My question is I guess; do you think ADHD and digestive problems are linked? Do you experience digestive issues?
