So I have recently been prescribed ADHD and over the past few months of using it as needed it has quite literally changed my life. After COVID my lack of focus because a big issue I had gotten in to a very prestigious and difficult school and suddenly unable to do any work and I began to turn in essentially no work and my grades where lots of barely passing and if it wasn’t for teachers kindness I probably wouldn’t have passed most of them.
This summer I had a internship and when I would take it in the morning it would work wonders with my focus. Also at school I’m able to be attentive and get my work done.
It has really helped me be able to function and do things that I would get distracted from before.
However, I am concerned with the info I’m seeing that it can permanently alter your Brain as well as building up a tolerance and the effect that has on your body. I felt myself building on up over the summer as I used it every week day, i typically don’t on weekends but with school and me having task every day I may need to.
What are the effects of adderall long term how long before it starts to alter your brain?
