Hey ADHD crew. I have had focus and anxiety issues for years and have even recently tried bupropion which helps a bit but mostly just with the anxiety, my focus is still short lived, hard to access memories, brain fog is still there and i am just a disorganized mess who has dropped out of college twice and is now 29 years old and doesnt have his shit together.
Nothing helps, coffee doesn't, having a perfect sleep and diet and workout regime, NOTHING I still have 0 attention and cant focus on tasks for more than a few minutes without getting distracted by a thought or object/person etc. I am tired of just chasing adrenaline adventures, alcohol, smoking and excess sex to feel good all the time I just want to feel more normal and feel focused and relaxed.
So I have turned to medication this year and finally seeing that overdue psychiatrist to get a proper diagnosis and turn my life around.
What do I say or not say to make sure I get the stimulants that would change my life but which I know are controlled substances that are not handed to everyone?
