is it normal to be upset when someone brakes eye contact?

My SO is very angry with me that I keep breaking eye contact but like instantly... "I'm over here" the micro second I look away. It's too much ad ice told her this. Am I just being too sensitive?
There are other signs that I think she's expecting typical behavior out of an atypical person.... when we met I was deep in my early 20s denial.... we're 12 years together now and it seems like there is a corilation between me becoming awaire of my symptoms and her dislike of me ...
