Since Covid I’ve been using a telemedicine practice to get diagnosed and receive my prescriptions. Now I have to go into a doctor and have them fill out a form to let me continue using telemedicine, and I’m worried the doctor will refuse.

On may 11th, telehealth providers will no longer be allowed to prescribe drugs like Adderall. I was told to bring a doctor an “attestation” form stating I can continue to revive treatment via telemedicine.

I’d really rather continue to work with the doctor I’ve established but she doesn’t live near me. I don’t even have a primary care physician because I haven’t had insurance for a year. I’m worried that with the stigma of adhd and “pill mills” a doctor I go to will just see me as a drug seeker.

Any advice for me? What kind of doctor should I go to? A general practitioner?
