Apparently my pharmacy hasn't been able to fill any Adderall prescriptions for a month (so, right after I got my latest prescription). I just took my last one today while expecting it to be filled today or tomorrow.
I am going on a work trip next week and was just told that they can't fill my prescription. I'm really worried about stopping my Adderall so suddenly. I've been taking it everyday (well, about 90% of the time cause I sometimes forget to take any meds) for over a year.
Has anyone else experienced a sudden detox from Adderall due to a country-wide shortage? A quick google search made it seem dangerous to stop cold turkey, but also, those were coming from "addiction" websites, so I'm not sure how it will affect me, who's been prescribed Adderall for ADHD.
I'm really anxious now about next week. I HAVE to travel and conduct an important training next week. I can't be super out of it because of a lack of meds.
Some reassurance or realistic expectations for what I can expect in the near future would be really helpful ❤️
(I was also just informed yesterday that I didn't get a 2nd interview for a promotion because I overshared and said "time management" was a weakness and that was a "red flag" - I would have been AMAZING at the new position, but I didn't even have a chance to show my experience because I have been actively unmasking my ADHD and have been trying to learn more about my brain in the process, so this is just a lot of difficult ADHD stuff happening after I was finally feeling like I was managing well 😭)
EDIT: Adding that I'm on 20mg extended release currently!
