Is Getting tested for ADHD Online a good idea?

Post Body

Hi guys, I was trying to get tested for ADHD again in order to confirm that I do indeed have it. The issue, it's kinda hard to find a psychiatrist in my area. They either cater to kids, don't take insurance, or it takes months for an appointment.

For example, I keep getting suggested this place that I used to go to (I was diagnosed with ADHD at that place) some years ago. The problem is, the earliest they can put me down for an appointment is in April. I have been struggling in school and in life for the past couple years.

Now, I have heard of places like ADHD online, and DoneFirst, but it seems that this subreddit is pretty divided on these companies. I just wanted to know if I should go for either of these websites (Or another website) or would I be better off just looking for a psychiatrist in my city.

For context, I was diagnosed with ADHD six years ago, but due to a bad depressive episode, my PCP at the time had me get off the meds since depression and ADHD have similar symptoms. The year after that, I went to a different place to get tested and they put me on the Autism Spectrum instead. So as mentioned before, I just wanna get confirmation on if I do have it or not.
