I am at a lost. My doctor is against moving up dosages. Do I seek new doctor?

Basically I’m at 30mg of Vyvanse. I can tell that it is not enough for me. I can feel it working. But it’s not at the ideal dosage.

My doc was hesitant to even increase it to 30mg. I don’t understand what the problem is.

I have no history of addiction, prescription abuse, no underlying health issue. So I really don’t understand. Why should her hesitance for her worries, affect me, someone who has no history of misuse or anything health related?

Should I seek a new doctor?

It’s annoying to hear people share how open their doctors are to allowing them to see what dosage is right for them, where she is not doing it for me. Her only explanation was she didn’t want to increase dosage so I don’t depend on the stimulant. Isn’t that why I’m using the medication to begin with?

Please help me make sense. I’m at a loss for words. And always feels like I’m taken advantage of because I don’t speak up.
