I feel like I'm forever doomed to take medication

Post Body

Been struggling with my ADHD recently so I just wanted to ask for a bit of advice.

I was finally diagnosed with ADHD a couple years ago and started medications a few months after that. I didn't realize how much the meds actually helped me until I had to come off of them last month. Suddenly, I find it so hard to get up and do anything. What used to take an hour to do now takes me 3-5 hours to start and I quickly lose motivation to continue the task I started. And, it's just so obvious how much my medications helped me with finding the motivation to do school work; I used to be able to finish work a couple days before my deadlines and now I can't muster up enough care to do my assignments until they're due in a few hours.

Idk, I just hate feeling like I was normal and functioning with meds and without them I'm just a tired, lazy blob. I really don't want to get back on medication. For other unmedicated folks (especially those also in college), how do you cope with your ADHD?
