That is what my psychiatrist recently told me in our last session. I told her how Vyvanse 20mg is a low dosage from what I’ve researched and how it has no effect on me, which is why I’d like to move up to 40mg.
She had the nerve to tell me to do not research. She even used a stupid analogy of if a cancer patient is receiving chemotherapy and he tells the doctor he researched it’s not enough, what do you expect the doctor to do.
She at least compromised with me and went up to 30mg.
These are the health care providers we have to put up with when you can’t afford better service.
What’s wrong with these people? So I’m not allowed to research a fucking medication you’re putting me on. As if I don’t have common sense.
Edit: I had to argue with her and continue to tell her how I don’t feel anything at 20mg.
The only reason I even got her to compromise is because I caught her in one of her bullshit talking points.
She said 20mg is enough for some people and not enough. So I was like, well I’m one of those people that is telling you 20mg is not enough for me.
🙄 I’m also the one paying for the meds. I didn’t want to waste more money at 30mg when 40mg seems better. Also she’s so annoying and difficult to work with that I haven’t even bothered asking her to help me fill out the appeal with my insurance so my meds can be covered. 🙄
