Hi, I’m 23 looking at joining the ADF. I have a few questions so would really appreciate it if I get some answers 💪

What’s the recruitment process look like, in terms of steps it takes and the time to wait?

I worked as a restaurant manager for about 3/4 years and I’m in my last year of uni studying IT (Information Systems Major) and was wondering what kind of options I have within the IT field/would my skills help me get in? Does a degree help with role selection etc.?

What would be involved say for cyber field or information technology field? What to expect and/or what are the pros for each I guess?

My long term partner is moving to Townsville so wouldn’t mind going with her, I know would be mainly army basing so wondering what kind of IT field jobs would be available up there?

If I did a couple of years in a role would I be able to make changes to a cyber role or soemthing else? And are there restrictions between once in army you stay or can you move between Air Force and navy?
