Some of the rarities I've caught

Level 21 here. I've caught a horned dynastid (but I feel they meant to put the rare on miyama instead), miyama stag, rainbow trout, black bass, koi, red snapper, blowfish, and tuna.
I'm wondering how some people on my friends list have found the jewel beetle and emperor butterfly. Does it depend to the times of day like it did in the games?
