I'm 32 yo guy. 6ft tall about 210lbs. I'm more of an active person. I did grappling, freediving, hiking. I had acl and meniscus surgery, got patellar tendon graft. Complete acl rupture, bucket handle medial meniscus tear. Its been 6 months since surgery now. My pt was mostly quad sets, heel slides, then got back to slowly walking after 2 months of non weight bearing. I have went for long walks and rode the incumbent bike. I do some weight machines and sit to stands, get on the bars and do side leg raises and knee . I actually just now have gotten to where I can get my full rom. The Pt really only pushed me hard a couple times during progress moves. I spent lots of time getting the electro stim and the therapist would massage my leg and tape it up. I recently got told im done with pt to be on my own as they dont really do stregnth and conditioning training. I wished i had know that earlier... I dont feel like im ready though. I dont know how to progress safely on my own. I found a place that does stregnth and conditioning rehab and I went today. It was like the first hard workout I've had since surgery. They didn't pamper me at all about doing leg exercises, they seemed to believe I should have been pushing my stregnth harder earlier. I would like to hear about anyone else's pt regiment and progression and what surgery they got. Just trying to get a good idea of what everyone went through or is going through.
