7 months post-op

I am at 7 months post-op now and doing PT for going back to sports. I tried playing and feel comfortable but back of the knee one small spot i feel the tension on the muscle. My PT says its normal and i should go back to competitive level after 9 months.
Anyone went through similar experience? Personally i feel 85%, i can feel i can be quicker and fast. Any suggestions?
