The cuse story is sad, and these former cuse players could have raised their stock by not entering the portal...
Post Body

So, Jesse Edwards transferred to WVU for NIL, where he had impressive individual stats, but on a team that vastly underperformed.

Joe Girard transferred to Clemson, where he had moderate success, but nothing that screams NBA prospect.

Judah Mintz tested the NBA draft last year, albeit he came back, and this year officially declared.

If Edwards and Girard stay, it deeply improves what were our 2 weakest spots, Center and Shooting Guard.

We lost Nahim McLeod to injury, albeit he didn't perform well anyway, and Malik Brown did a decent job, but was outsized for most of the season.

Our starting SG Justin Taylor could not buy a bucket, and had one of the worst seasons I can remember for any individual. Chris Bell and JJ Starling had their moments, but were inconsistent.

If we had Edwards and JG3, I truly believe we have a shot at the top 25, I would venture to say probably around #15.

And I believe this would have raised stock of Mintz, Edwards, and possibly JG3 as a late round pick if a team needed a shooting guard, though I'm hesitant on that one. But now, I think edwards might sneak a pick in, and I think Mintz will go undrafted. If edwards stayed, I think he and Mintz become first rounders.

Sorry NCAA transfer portal and NIL doesn't work and fans don't like it.
