I'm a native of Washington State. Due to a period on crack and heroin, living in the hotels that are used by the sex workers of our city, i befriended a few. I learned all about their day to day lives during the three years on Aurora and hanging with them One of the girls who is the same age as me and who is now married to a good friend, retired from sex work and a wonderful mom, told me that the Aurora task force terrorizes the prostitute community and has since it's inception. She told me she had first hand experience and while I am skeptical of most hearsay that I come in contact with I happen to know she's almost certainly telling the truth. Apparently certain members of this task force will detain girls they are attracted to and R them in their police suv's and to top it off still take them to jail a lot of the time and because they have an abuser understanding of human psychology they don't have any fear of the girls reporting it or it being taken seriously if they do. This task force, vice cops on steroids, which was created to combat the drug use and sex sales that happens from like green lake up to 175th and aurora (maybe beyond that but I've been away from there awhile so idk) is made up of predators that have guaranteed that the broken and vulnerable young women who travel to Aurora like a mecca Hajj of dope use, will NEVER trust that they can count on anyone for help. I am so disgusted, and enraged and sympathetic to the girls that it is hard to even type this. It randomly came back to me that she had told me about her experiences in the brutal tactics these guys use to play their power games and I just had to make this post so that I'm not holding that poison in. I would like to add that I knew quite a few girls that I'd call friends in those days (2010-2013/14) and this claim was unanimously verified by all of them when I asked because in my ignorant young optimistic mind it couldn't possibly be true. The reality I have found to be true is that my main friend was absolutely telling the truth and the police are not the good guys that we've been led to believe. There is a reason for all of the thin blue line, police union, gangster omerta type shit that goes on in these departments and it's naive to think that the shit you're taught as a child is in any way true. We tell kids dairy tales to keep them obedient and scare them just enough to stay compliant but the police being the knights we paint them as are a fantasy. They're much closer to the monster we need to vanquish.
